Sales Manager
Overview
We are a small, but growing startup that is looking for a talented and experienced Sales Lead to join our team. You will be our first sales member, which means that you will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of our sales strategy and be a key player in getting us closer to our targets.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing, has a strong foundation in B2B marketing, and is excited about the potential of our business. You should be a self-starter, able to work independently, and have a strong track record of delivering impactful and business-driven results.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent quarter over quarter results
- Research, pursue, and develop new, long term business relationships
- Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure requirements are met to hit targets
- Manage day-to-day relationships with partners including commercial, legal, financial and marketing aspects
- Negotiate commercial terms while utilizing analytical data
- Advance and establish new opportunities with existing relationships and define revenue opportunities
Requirements
- A business minded storyteller, who knows how to demonstrate our value and back it up with the data
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategies
- Strong understanding of B2B sales methodologies, account-based selling and key account management
- Strong ability to identify and qualify potential leads, as well as nurture and close deals
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team, ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision making, comfortable with forecasting and reporting.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot) and other sales technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure startup environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
